A division established to assist socially and financially disadvantaged persons, providing:
Legal Assistance
This service provides people with a general knowledge of the law and how it affects them. We do not offer legal advice but, rather, make people aware of the laws that apply in particular circumstances. If it becomes clear that legal advice is required, our consultants will refer the person to an appropriate legal firm listed on our pro bono legal services list.
Pro Bono Representation
"Pro Bono" is Latin, meaning "for nothing" or "free". Most law firms provide pro bono legal services to persons of limited financial means. Croesus has a list of such law firms and, after discovering a person's particular needs, can direct the person to an appropriate law firm for legal advice and - where required - legal representation.
Financial Common Sense
Croesus consultants can offer basic, common sense advice, to people of limited financial knowledge, on practical methods of managing money. Such things as saving money each week, allocating funds to essential payments (credit cards, weekly shopping bills, monthly power bills, etc.), putting together a group to buy in bulk, and budgeting for long-term survival can be addressed on a personal basis.
Employment Preparation
This service focuses on understanding basic common business sense in the area of getting a job. Information is made available on how to: dress neatly, have a haircut, walk and speak with confidence, basic social manners, basic personal hygiene, preparation of a C.V., telephone and face-to-face communication.
Dispute Resolution
Croesus has available qualified domestic and commercial mediators, who will give their time free to mediate and/or arbitrate disputes that may arise between persons qualified to use the Croesus CommServ services.
